Metaverse Communities FAQ

1. Who can apply to participate?

Communities that are currently leveraging or seeking to leverage the augmented and immersive capacity of the metaverse to foster greater connections with their network of members. Eligible communities include individuals, small and medium- sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, social impact organizations, civil society organizations (NGOs, foundations), groups of individuals who routinely engage via online platforms, collaborative and knowledge exchange groups, online content and experience creators, associations, affiliations, among others.

2. Who is eligible to participate?

Communities legally registered and /or operating in at least one of the following countries:

Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uruguay.

3. Can I include attachments to support my applications?

Optional: Applicants may share a URL to any audiovisual material of maximum 2 minutes relevant to the proposal.

4. In which language can I submit my application?

This Challenge accepts submissions in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

5. Will I receive feedback on the content of my proposal after selected applications are selected?

IDB and Meta do not provide individual feedback or comments on applications

6. Can I appeal a selection decision?

No, all selection decisions are final and not subject of appealing – including the invitation to complete the second applications-.
